🏎️ Speeding & Limits

  • Built-up Areas: Maximum speed is 40 km/h unless otherwise posted.
  • Open Roads: Maximum speed is 60 km/h (depending on island regulations).
  • Dangerous Driving: Exceeding limits near schools or crowded Maneabas is a high-level offense.

🆔 Licensing & Registration

  • License Validity: All drivers must possess a current, unexpired KLTA Driver License [cite: 13-14].
  • Registration: Vehicles must display a valid registration sticker on the front windshield[cite: 6].
  • Ownership: Change of ownership must be reported to the KLTA registry within 7 days.

🚗 Vehicle Compliance

  • Lighting: Headlights and tail lights must be functional for night driving.
